The Austrian School of Economics and Friedrich A. von Hayek originated in Vienna, Austria but are not as popular here as elsewhere in the world. This blog will contain history of the Austrian School including letters and pictures from Hayeks' life and comments on current events from an "Austrian" perspective.
I am a financial consultant in Vienna, Austria focusing on valuation, M&A and trust. In a previous life I was an investment banker. My current job lets me see my family more and do more with them. I started on Hayek for family reasons but soon discovered synergies with both my work and my political opinions on freedom, not to mention tax policy ;-).
